You must be in your tornado shelter or get out of the way!!! Again! You will not survive above ground! You must be in your tornado shelter or get out of the way. This is a TORNADO 🌪 EMERGENCY 🆘 🚨 FOR THE CITY OF MOORE!! 14 years later it still applies!

It is funny that ever since 1 person came up with (whatever) "strong" then every town that has a tragedy (or any other hardship) has the need to follow suit. No imagination.....

7:35 Is it me or when they say "Everything is gone." "Everything but us is gone." Aren't they exaggerating out of trauma? I mean yes, everything was destroyed, not EVERYTHING was "Gone." I just don't understand why they say things are "gone" when parts of the structures are still standing. Again, DESTROYED but standing. I've seen what an F5 did to a neighborhood that was GONE. Literally GONE: houses, roads (asphalt), cars, people, appliances, plumbing, street signs, trees, carpet, floor tiles, grass, etc. Nothing but slabs and mud. To me, thats GONE.

No, the people of Oklahoma are just dumb plodders. This is an insult to “animals”, who are generally better at finding/building a place underground to live where shelter from weather is easier/possible or moving elsewhere…Oklahomans just pray to “God” & build another cheap McMansion with no REAL safety or shelter, pay tons of homeowner’s insurance or have trouble getting insurance on their crappy future tornado fodder/death trap & wait/wonder till it happens again…🙄…thoughts n prayers y’all & good friggin LUCK…& by all means, continue to deny climate change…it’s been working SO well for y’all so far…😅 Love from not “tornado alley”…

First off I want to ask our heavenly father to bless each and everyone of the families, friends, loved ones and especially the victims of 5/20/2013. May his love and guidance direct you're hearts and soothe the pain brought by this tragedy as well as the many others. For those who were called home that day I pray you found the way free of all earthly pain and fear and into the arms of his loving embrace. Amen. I cannot use words to convey my condolences for y'all and to expess the way my heart aches for each and everyone of you. I must confess some of that pain comes from the fact that you're beautiful city is literally located in an area that has the perfect conditions, environment and the reputation for spawning tornadoes that dont just get big, they get unbelievably massive. From a funnel to a barrel then to a wedge surrounded by debris that creates a picture human brains cannot begin to rationalize as they immense size and deafening sound can only be compared to a New York skyscraper on wheels spinning like a top and eating up all things in its path. People often get mesmerized at the sight and just stare into it as its bearing down upon them. People who haven't witnessed this horrific event ask "why don't you run! Dont just stand there!" Well, our brains have a way of making sense of things. When there are events that happen of the caliber of an EF-5 twister that has become a wedge and you look out you're back door to be met with a sight of a tornado from one eyes peripheral sight to the others and literally all you see is debris, it just doesn't register as real and this is actually happening. Our bodies do this as a tool to protect our psyche from trauma. It tries to make surreal what is real as a way to protect itself. In this moment we are often caught like a deer in the headlights unbeknownst to us. Often times we need to be snapped out of this moment. The rotation has a hypnotizing effect, especially ones of such gargantuan size as thos. The fact that my fellow human beings are living in an area that creates these beasts is frustrating, if that makes sense and with all due respect.... Home is where the heart is and there are precautions that can be taken to ensure ones safety but even when all the "T's" are crossed and all the the "I's" have been dotted, things happen. I have family whom reside in Nichols Hills and being familiar with folks from Oaklahma, i know they have faith in the lord and they are people who will actually stop and offer help if you happen to have a flat tire or ran out of gas on the roadside. They are friendly and neighborly. Trustworthy people who are very different from those where I live in California. Wholesome is a good word to describe the folks in Oaklahma. It warms my heart to see just how quickly they will be of service to thy neighbor. Literally 5 minutes after the twister went past they were out there with their chainsaws buzzing clearing the blocked roads of trees and trucks pulling out stuck vehicles and large debris to aid in finding victims. The meaning of community still exists out there. I'm sad to say it doesn't here where I'm at. I guess my heart aches because such kind folks experience such horrible tragedy. Such horror. Nightmarish events like this happen to such great god gearing people and it hurts me to know that unfortunately it will happen again. I ask our lord to hold you firmly in his hands if this is to be and I pray for all of you're safety nightly. You're resilience and ability to bounce back in a matter of years from complete destruction to hardly able to tell such destruction occurred is mind boggling. That is what I consider Moore strong. If every city could follow you're lead, we would have true brotherhood and be a teal united set of states indeed. I'm humbled by you're example. May god bless each and everyone of you're hearts. With humbling respect I pray in you're name. Respect and love, Patrick.....
